Neli Mitewa has graduated in Fashion Design at the Professional School of Applied Arts and Sciences in Trier, Germany. She works as fashion designer of her own collections (brand names "nelmit" and "TAPA"-with Youlian Tabakov), freelance-designer for companies, as well as lecturer, design consultant and fashion journalist. Among the prizes she has won at international fashion contests, there is the DESIGN INNOVATION - Award for outstanding design, awarded by the Ministry of Economy of North-Rhine/Westphalia-Germany, as well as her qualification for the Final of the GRAND PRIX INTERNATIONAL FASHION DESIGN BERLIN 2003.
As costume designer, she has created the costumes for a number of theatre and dance performances.
